Welcome to Tabletop Chronicles
Welcome to Tabletop Chronicles
We're thrilled to introduce Tabletop Chronicles, a campaign management platform built from the ground up for tabletop RPG players and Dungeon Masters.
Why We Built This
We wanted a platform that was more than a glorified character sheet, although Tabletop Chronicles does have that. It is much more than that though.
With Tabletop Chronicles, Dungeon Masters and Game Masters can build their entire world here with maps, NPC libraries, locations, and even plan their campaign, session by session. Players can consume this information at a pace that the Dungeon Master specifies as well as keep an interactive and smart journal that we call the Chronicle.
How It Works
The Chronicle is the heart of the platform. Think of it as a session journal, but one that actually does things. Every action in your session is a block. Battle blocks track turns and actions, rest blocks calculate recovery, loot blocks let you pick up items with a click. Between all of that, you write your notes. It's inspired by tools like Jupyter and Notion, but built specifically for tabletop RPGs.
For Dungeon Masters, there's the Campaign Ledger. This is where your world lives. NPCs, quests, factions, locations, lore entries, a bestiary, encounter builder, and a party treasury. You can plan sessions with a drag-and-drop planning panel, stage content for the next game, and then convert it all into the session log when you're ready to play.
Then there's Fireside, which is real-time chat for your party. Text channels, dice rolling, GIF reactions, file sharing, all built in so you don't need a separate Discord server unless you want one.
Built for 5E
We've seeded the database with the entire SRD 5.1. That's 319 spells, 334 monsters, 237 equipment items, all 12 classes, 9 races, and more. All of it under Creative Commons. When you create a character, pick a weapon, or cast a spell, the data is already there. No manual entry, no third-party integrations.
Having said that, though, you will never be locked in to that data. TableTop Chronicles was built with customisation in mind from the get-go. Every piece of data can be reForged so that your experience and campaign is completely tailored for you.
What's Coming
We're just getting started. There's a lot on the roadmap:
- AI-assisted generation for backstories, NPC details, and session recaps
- Voice channels for live sessions, powered by LiveKit
- Shared initiative and dice so the whole table can see rolls and turn order
- Shared maps that the DM can reveal to players during sessions
- D&D Beyond character import to bring your existing characters across
- Multiclass character creation so you can build a Fighter 5 / Rogue 3 from the start
- Campaign import and export for full backup and restore of your world
- 3D animated dice because rolling dice should feel good, even digitally
- A mobile-native experience with proper touch interactions, not just a scaled-down desktop
- Offline mode so you can play anywhere, even without a connection
and more.
Get Started
Tabletop Chronicles is free to use. Create an account, build a character, start a campaign, and see how it feels. We think you'll like it.
